Buying BACKTAPE

Purchases are processed by our online reseller, which acts as the merchant of record: it handles the payment, the receipt and the taxes of your country. Prices are in US dollars. After your payment you receive a licence key by e-mail.

Your licence

LABSICK EMPIRE grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use BACKTAPE (the plugin, its presets, sounds, graphics and manual) on up to two computers that you own or control, for any number of your own productions.

Your music is yours

Audio you create or process with BACKTAPE is yours. You may release it commercially or not, with no royalty, credit or further permission.

What you may not do

You may not sell, rent, lend, share, give away or redistribute BACKTAPE or your licence key; reverse engineer, decompile, decrypt or modify BACKTAPE, except where the law expressly allows it; remove copyright notices; or extract its sounds, graphics or presets to distribute them on their own.

Free trial

The trial lets you use the full plugin for 14 days on your computer. After that the plugin passes your sound through unprocessed until it is activated with a licence key.

Updates

Updates of version 1 (1.x) are included with your licence. Later major versions may be offered under new terms.

Ownership

BACKTAPE is licensed, not sold. LABSICK EMPIRE keeps all rights, title and intellectual property in it.

No warranty

BACKTAPE is provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. Always keep backups of your projects.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent the law allows, LABSICK EMPIRE is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for loss of data, profits or projects. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the licence.

Termination

This licence ends automatically if you break its terms. A licence key that is shared, refunded or charged back may be deactivated.

Changes

We may update these terms; the date above shows the latest version. The terms in force when you bought apply to your purchase.
